About Denis

denis_perryMy name is Denis Perry and I am based in Plymouth in beautiful Devon. Since I was a small child I’ve loved the unusual things that have been neglected, and am a bit of a hoarder to say the least!

My main passion in life is being able to reclaim and find a use for beautiful and unusual items that could easily be lost forever.

I have been dealing in architectural reclamation for the last 25 years, aided and abetted by my long suffering wife, Jude. I work alone and due to the bulkiness of the stock I sell, store it in various locations and do not have one permanent yard, and therefore do not operate set opening hours. I meet my customers by prior arrangement in the appropriate location. I deal mostly in reclaimed granite and limestone, which is indigenous to Devon and Cornwall and when able to source them I stock items including Yorkstone, Cumbrian and Slate.

I stock a huge and wide variety of reclaimed items and it’s always worth making an initial enquiry if you are looking for a specific item, whether it be a large trough for your koi carp, a particularly handsome granite lintel to adorn your fireplace or a Victorian lamp post for the garden. Granite setts are always popular and kerbs make wonderful steps.

Apart from selling stone in its natural form, I love to design and make one off pieces using reclaimed stone and slate. Browse through the website to see images of various items I have made and have been commissioned to make pieces for clients. I designed a beautiful summerhouse which I exhibited at the Yealmpton Show  – a local annual agricultural show
